We took it for granted that we would be forgiven and our souls purified. There was no one to think different for it was simply all other beliefs were long since annihilated. Those who remained were not thought to and those who mumbled resistance in the deep slumber of dreams were forever silenced. I do remember those mornings. You could not say when someone was missing for fear of government coming out of the shadows and no one speaking out of ordinary whilst you were swept into those shadows that we are told have always been subject to young fear and nothing more.
